ALBION NEWS: We’ve got a whole lotta love

Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven…

Once you’ve climbed the stairway to heaven on Saturday and found yourself at the highest ground in the country, you will of course want to get your hands on Albion News, to read our soothing words to calm your nerves at such altitude.

We’ve got a special commemorative issue ready and waiting for you too, for Saturday is our 3,000th league game since the war and the 1,500th at The Hawthorns, and we’ve got plenty of stories and stats surrounding that particular milestone.

Getting all nostalgic as a result, we pay tribute to the mighty Enzo Maresca as he heads into footballing retirement and we recall Jonathan Greening’s spell as Albion skipper. On top of that, we look back to possibly the coldest night in Hawthorns history, when the Throstles completed a Brexit of our own.

Kane Wilson goes up against former Albion star Colin Suggett in our Q&A feature, Tony Pulis and Darren Fletcher offer up their regular columns for your scrutiny and we’ve got full match reports from the games against Stoke and West Ham, paying particular attention to just what product it is that Gareth McAuley uses on his goalscoring quiff.

We reflect on James Morrison and his immense achievement of clocking up 300 Albion games and Tony Brown adds his own tribute to Morrison and a clutch of other Albion stalwarts who have helped re-establish Albion in the top flight.

All this and plenty more in Albion News, where all that glitters IS gold. You know it makes sense.
