THE Albion Foundation’s annual Give Back Day was in full swing today, as staff went out in the local community to help with causes close to home.
Painting rooms, wrapping presents, helping the homeless and taming allotments were all on the agenda as the workers got stuck in to help those in need.
"Give Back Day provides us with a fantastic opportunity for us to offer a service to the community that people might not expect from us," explained Foundation Director, Rob Lake.
70 members of staff went into the community to help eight local causes and spending the day helping others is a highlight in the Foundation's calendar.
"My staff look forward to this every year," added Rob.
"It allows them to work in teams and lend a collective helping hand to projects that need completion but don't always have the manpower to see the job through.
"Although in our day-to-day work we are always striving to help our community, at this time of year it's great for us to give back to the most needy."
