Robson-Kanu relishing busy festive period

HAL Robson-Kanu says Albion's busy December schedule "can only be good for the team" as Head Coach Alan Pardew gets to grips with his new squad.

Pardew has only managed a handful of training sessions with his players after signing a two-and-a-half year deal last Wednesday. And, with the Baggies playing a total of seven games over the festive period, Hal believes the hectic schedule ahead will help the team adapt to new ideas.

"As soon as [Alan] came in he was clear on what he expects of us as players. It's up to us now to implement that and perform on the pitch.

"He's looked to implement his ethos, his style of play. He wants us to be more attacking as well as being more solid.

"The fact that we've got a good spell coming up now with lots of opportunities can only be good for the team. Everyone loves playing games."

The Welsh forward, who has already netted twice this season, also played down the significance of Saturday's trip to Swansea City. Paul Clement's side are currently bottom of the Premier League, but 'HRK' says Albion's focus will be on themselves and not the occasion.

"Games against competitors who are in a similar position to you in the league are important, no matter what league you're in.

"Being in the Premier League, there's a lot more riding on it. We're aware of that but it's not our focus. Our focus will be to do what the manager wants us to do and pick up three points."
