Francis considers Pardew offer

ALAN Pardew has confirmed that Gerry Francis has been offered the chance to join his coaching team.

Francis, who worked as a first-team coach under former boss Tony Pulis, has asked for the weekend to think it over.

“I hope Gerry can stay, he’s someone I respect and somebody who did a terrific job and knows this group of players,” said Pardew.

“If I can keep him then it would be great. Gerry has a loyalty issue to the group that was here, and it’s probably tugging at him a little bit, but I hope he stays.

Albion can confirm Ben Garner and Mark O’Connor have left The Hawthorns. The Club would like to thank both for their hard work and wish them well in the future.
