Albion PL2 1 Aston Villa PL2 4

ALBION's PL2 side were defeated 4-1 by Aston Villa on a foggy night at Aggborough.

It was Villa who took the lead inside two minutes when Rushian Hepburn-Murphy cut in from the right and hammered a low shot past Alex Palmer.

The Baggies found a deserved equaliser on 21 minutes, though, when Kyle Jameson powered home a header from a corner.

After half time it was Albion that came closest to scoring a number of times when Callum Morton had two fine efforts fantastically saved by Jed Steer.

However, on 66 minutes Alex Bradley was shown his second yellow card and Villa took advantage of their extra man just three minutes later through Jordan Cox's goal.

With 72 minutes on the clock the away side got their third of the evening thanks to Callum O'Hare, before Harry McKirdy converted a late penalty to round off the scoreline.

ALBION: Palmer, Soleman, Jameson, Ferguson, Melbourne; Brown, Bradley, Azaz (Wilding 69); Morton, Tulloch (Clayton-Phillips 89), Campbell (McCourt 73).

Substitutes: House, Pierce.
