Rodriguez enjoys happy return to Turf Moor

'Not many teams' will come away from Turf Moor with three points. That was the view of Jay Rodriguez as Albion left his old stomping ground with an impressive 1-0 victory on Saturday.

Hal Robson-Kanu's solitary goal was enough to give the Baggies a win which maintained their perfect start to the 2017/18 Premier League season.

And Rodriguez, who made over 100 appearances for Burnley, was impressed with his side's work ethic in what could prove to be a valuable victory come the end of the campaign.

"We knew it was going to be difficult and it was a very difficult game.

"But the lads worked hard and got the three points which is the most important thing.

"Not many teams will come here and win. They work very hard."

The summer signing from Southampton highlighted the fact that everyone in the Albion line-up knew the job expected of them by Head Coach Tony Pulis.

"Everyone's delighted.

"Everyone in the team knew their jobs - we worked on that all week.

"You could see from the game that everyone worked tirelessly. We got our rewards at the end."
