Pulis ready for Stoke clash

TONY Pulis is preparing his side for a showdown with Stoke City at The Hawthorns on Sunday, but he won't be commenting on his good record against the Potters in his time as Baggies boss.

Pulis has won four and drawn one of five encounters with City since his move to Albion - but that does't mean anything as far as the gaffer is concerned.

"I don't want to bring it up and ruin it!

"I've got great respect for that club and everybody involved with it.

"Every football match is different."

Asked whether there was any extra needle between the two sides, Pulis highlighted the absence of Wolves, Blues and Villa as the main reason for any animosity between the Baggies and the Potters.

"I don't think so.

"What's happened is we've lost the other clubs around us - they're all in the Championship.

"Stoke and Leicester have become our local derbies."
