Walker at the double for victorious Albion

Baggies claim all three points against Bantams

LOWRI Walker struck a brace to help Albion chalk up a 4-1 FA Women's Premier League Northern Division victory over Bradford City Women.

Midfielder Trina Greaves and Striker Olivia Mitcham were also on the scoresheet as the Baggies ensured it was sweet home revenge following a 2-1 defeat away to the visitors in the reverse fixture over a fortnight ago.

Albion raced into a two-goal lead in just under 20 minutes thanks to Mitcham's close-range strike from an Abi Cottam pull back and Walker's thumping 20-yard drive.

Laura Elford reduced the deficit for Bradford on the half-hour, making it 2-1 at the break, before Walker restored Albion's advantage in the 54th minute, pouncing to convert a rebound after Greaves' inital free-kick had struck the crossbar.

The Baggies made the result secure when Greaves stepped up to convert from the penalty spot shortly after the hour, sending Bradford keeper Elizabeth Hobson the wrong way.

Assistant Manager Paul O'Brien said: "We started off really well, especially the first 20 minutes when we got the two goals.

"It was a little bit disappointing to concede, but we bounced back and got the right result."
