Wilson proud to play for England

Baggies youngster features in Croatia Cup win

KANE Wilson says he's proud to have represented his country in the Croatia Cup.

The Baggies starlet was part of the England U17 squad that won the four-team tournament in style, beating Croatia, Greece and Germany.

Playing 50 minutes against the hosts last week, and the full 90 in the astonishing 8-1 win against Germany on Monday, Wilson expressed his delight at pulling on the Three Lions shirt.

"Playing for England was amazing, I'm really proud.

"To go over to Croatia, play some very good sides and come back having won all three games is fantastic."

And the young full-back said the experience was priceless for his own development.

"International football is different to domestic football, it's a lot more compact.

"It's been really useful for me to learn about that and the more technical aspects of the game.

"Going abroad to play football has made me appreciate how good we have it here at Albion with the coaches and facilities we have.

"I'm going to keep working hard so I can have more experiences like this in the future."
