  • Gundogan adds brace in second period (79, 90)
  • Brunt makes 250th league start for Albion
  • Attendance: 22,270
  • Albion Star Man: Chris Brunt
TWO goals apiece from Sergio Aguero and llkay Gundogan ensured Albion fell to a 10th successive Premier League defeat against leaders Manchester City.

Argentinian Aguero struck twice in the first half, the second a thumping drive into the top corner from distance, to make it seven goals in nine appearances versus the Baggies for the City No.10.

Gundogan then added a brace of his own in the second half as high-flying City registered three goals for the sixth time in the last seven meetings between the two clubs.

It came on an afternoon when Chris Brunt made his 250th league start as the club commemorated Remembrance Day at The Hawthorns.

Albion, who are on 10 points from their opening 10 games, see a daunting run of fixtures continue with a trip to champions Leicester City next Sunday.

Nacer Chadli sent an early chance wide before the visitors went on to dominate the opening half, Ben Foster twice saving from from Raheem Sterling before John Stones poked wide from a good position.

And the opening goal went with the run of play in the 19th minute as Gundogan slotted through Aguero and he fired low past Foster.

Gareth McAuley cleared off the line from Nolito as City pressed for a second and it duly came just before the half-hour mark as Aguero, again, smashed into the top corner from the edge of the penalty area.

City's dominance continued in the early stages of the second period and Gundogan saw his goalbound shot deflected wide by team-mate Nolito.

The introduction of James Morrison and Jonathan Leko sparked fresh impetus into the hosts, Chadli driving over the crossbar in the 65th minute while Salomon Rondon sent a good opening off target from James McClean's left-wing cross.

But Gundogan killed off any hopes of a comeback when he slotted home City's third and fourth, McAuley hitting a post for Albion late on from Leko's cut-back.
