Marcus Forss on target for Albion
A deflected 90th minute free-kick saw Albion’s Under-18 side fall to a cruel 2-1 defeat at home to Blackburn Rovers on Saturday morning.
The away side went in at half-time with a slender one-goal lead but Marcus Forss’ penalty after the restart brought the scores level.
The encounter looked to be heading for a draw, but then in added time, Baggies ‘keeper Brad House saw a 30 yard free-kick take a wicked deflection and loop over him into the back of net.
The youngsters are next in action at Liverpool on Saturday, October 15.
