Host of Baggies involved in World Cup qualifiers
A total of 11 senior Albion players have been called up by their nations for the latest batch of international fixtures.
Midfield duo Darren Fletcher and James Morrison are in the Scotland squad for their titanic tussle with England in a World Cup qualifier at Wembley on Friday, November 11 (ko 7.45pm).
The Baggies pair are in need of a positive result against the Three Lions with their national side sitting fourth in Group F, three points off top spot, which is currently held by Gareth Southgate’s men.
Trio Jonny Evans, Gareth McAuley and Chris Brunt have been called up by Northern Ireland for home matches against Azerbaijan in World Cup qualifying, as well as Croatia in a friendly.
The Group C clash against Azerbaijan at Windsor Park on Friday, November 11 (ko 7.45pm) gives Michael O’Neill’s side the opportunity to leapfrog their opponents into second in Group C, before being able to test themselves against one of Europe’s best teams, Croatia, in a practice match at the same venue on Tuesday, November 15 (ko 7.45pm).

Forward Hal Robson-Kanu is in the Wales squad for their crunch World Cup qualifier with Serbia at the Cardiff City Stadium on Saturday, November 12 (ko 7.45pm).
A win for the Welsh could see them jump from third to first in Group D.
Another man set for World Cup qualifying action is James McClean, who is away with the Republic of Ireland.
The Irish, who are in the same group as Robson-Kanu’s Wales, travel to Austria on Saturday, November 12 (ko 5pm) where they will be looking to go three points clear at the top of the standings.
Defender Allan Nyom is set for action with Cameroon who host Zambia in an African World Cup qualifier on Saturday, November 12 (ko 3pm).
Cameroon will be looking to build on their impressive 1-1 draw away to Algeria in October.
Fellow full-back Brendan Galloway is in the England Under-21 squad for friendlies with Italy on Thursday, November 10 (ko 7.45pm) at St. Mary’s Stadium, and France on Monday, November 14 (ko 7.45pm) at the Stade Robert Bobin.
Sam Field is also away with the Three Lions, linking up with the Under-19 group for three Under-19 European Championship qualifiers in Wales.
The midfielder could come up against Luxembourg at Rhyl FC on Thursday, November 10, Wales at Bangor FC on Saturday, November 12 and Greece at Phyl FC on Tuesday, November 15.
Finally, Jonathan Leko has been named in England’s Under-18 squad for two friendlies against Poland on Thursday, November 10 at Stevenage, and France on Monday, November 14 at Peterborough United.
