Marcus Forss strike and an OG enough to beat Gunners
ALBION’s Under-18 side secured an eye-catching 2-1 home victory over Arsenal on Saturday, in the process recording their first win in the Barclays U18 Premier League Group Two play-offs.
After a dominant opening 40 minutes, Marcus Forss finally broke the deadlock with a stunning strike from 30-yards which flew into the bottom corner.
The Gunners levelled the scores early in the second-half, but the Baggies regained their lead in the 55th minute when good work again from Forss inside the penalty area resulted in an Arsenal player diverting the ball into his own net.
Aaron Danks’ men showed grit and determination in the closing stages to cling on to a deserved three points.
Next up for the youngsters is a trip to Leicester City next Saturday.
