Midfielder, 18, made senior debut on final day of last season
ALBION's highly-rated teenager Sam Field has agreed his first professional contract at The Hawthorns.Just 24 hours after Jonathan Leko did the same, fellow Academy graduate Field has committed to a one-year contract, with a further 12-month option in the club's favour.
The 18-year-old midfielder, who joined the Baggies at the age of eight, made his Premier League debut on the final day of last season when he emerged as an 86th-minute substitute in the 1-1 draw against Liverpool.
Field, a lifelong Baggies supporter, had previously travelled with the club's first-team on several matchdays towards the close of the 2015/16 campaign.
His rise to first-team prominence saw him named Albion's 2015/16 Academy Player of the Season.
It also resulted in a call-up to England's Under-18 squad for their two-match tour of South Korea earlier this summer.
Field follows in the footsteps of Leko and fellow talented teenager Tyler Roberts in agreeing a professional contract with the club.
