Winger happy to play whole game at Kidderminster
MATTY Phillips was pleased to see Albion claim their first victory of pre-season but stressed fitness is the main focus of friendlies.
The Baggies recorded a 2-1 win over Kidderminster Harriers at Aggborough on Saturday afternoon thanks to two goals from Saido Berahino.
The former QPR man, who also played the first-half against PSG in Austria on Wednesday, injected another 90 minutes into his tank against the non-league outfit.
“Obviously it was nice to get the win,” said Phillips.
“I thought we played some good stuff at times but the main thing was getting 90 minutes under our belts.
“I enjoyed the game, it was good.
“I got plenty of space, particularly in the second 45, to run at my man and get crosses into the box which is what I love doing.
