Portugal through after 2-0 victory
JAMES Chester’s Euro 2016 dream came to an end on Wednesday night as Wales missed out on a place in Sunday’s showpiece final at the Stade de France.
Two quickfire goals at the start of the second-half from Cristiano Ronaldo and Nani helped Portugal settle the tournament’s first semi-final in Lyon.
If Wales had beaten the odds, Chester, who played the full 90 minutes, could have become the first Albion player to represent his nation in a European Championship final.
Despite the disappointment, everyone at West Bromwich Albion would like to congratulate James on helping the Welsh Dragons create history this summer.
