Pulis reflects on draw with Bristol City

Head Coach praises returning Foster

TONY Pulis spoke to various media outlets following Saturday’s dramatic 2-2 draw with Bristol City in the FA Cup third-round.

You can read what he had to say on the draw with the Robins below.

Pulis on the game…

“I thought we played well between both boxes but our end product was disappointing.

“We have to be on a level better than that.

“We got into some great crossing areas during the 90 minutes but unfortunately our delivery wasn’t as good as it normally is.

“We are still in the hat and we will now have to go down to Bristol City next week to progress through.”

On the cluttered fixture list...

“I can’t fault the effort of the players.

“They have worked really hard and we will now need to manage them over the next few weeks with two consecutive midweek games coming up.

“The lads are really fit and they keep going.

“They showed great character to come back and grab a late goal for the second week running.”

On Ben Foster...

“I thought Ben was smashing.

“He didn’t have an awful lot to do today, but what he did do he did very well.

“I thought he was unlucky with their second goal.

“He made a fantastic save but the ball dropped right at the feet of their lad and that was disappointing.”
