Pulis sympathises with fans after 'worst' away display

Injuries piling up for Albion boss

TONY Pulis sympathised with Albion fans who made the long journey to Newcastle to see the 'worst' away performance of his 13 month Hawthorns' tenure.

The Baggies supporters expressed their frustrations during the game and at the final whistle.

Pulis was not surprised by their reaction.
I've been with the club for over a year and that's the most disappointing away performance we've had.
We shadow boxed for 90-odd minutes. Newcastle was just better all over the pitch.
It's a disappointing result for us.
Today I totally understand their (fans') frustrations.
They've seen us score two goals in games at Chelsea and Liverpool but today we were just not good enough.
It's very disappointing.

Albion again suffered more injury problems during the game - with Jonas Olsson, Gareth McAuley and Craig Dawson among those suffering fresh knocks.
We need players back as quickly as possible but we've picked up more injuries.
Jonas was feeling his hamstring, Gareth got a thigh injury and Dawson felt his ankle.
We will see who is available for the Cup game.
