Shan prepared for Black Country derby

Albion's PL2 side host Wolves on Monday

ALBION's Premier League 2 boss James Shan is readying his side for a table-topping clash with Wolves at Aggborough on Monday evening (ko 7pm).

The Baggies currently sit in the final play-off position and are unbeaten in three games in all competitions.

And Shan says his side will be looking to put three points on the board against their Black Country rivals.

"We're three without defeat now.

"We kept a clean sheet against Middlesbrough and probably deserved more when we travelled to Newcastle.

"We want to keep that unbeaten run going.

"We want to win games, score goals and keep clean sheets - every coach wants to do that."

Albion suffered a 3-1 defeat in the corresponding fixture in August, something that Shan wants to rectify on Monday.

"Wolves are a very experienced, physical side.

"Our performance the first time we played them was substandard.

"We're looking to amend that. We want to have the bragging rights this time around."

And in pursuit of promotion to the PL2 Division One, Shan knows the importance of keeping the points tally ticking over.

"Looking at the league table, you can fall away from the play-off places very quickly.

"That's why it's important for us to get back to winning ways.

"The boys are well aware that we want to compete at the top level."
