PL2 side earn a point at Liverpool

Andre Wright on target for James Shan's side

ALBION's Premier League 2 side earned a vital point in their Premier League Cup campaign with a 1-1 draw away to Liverpool.

Before kick off the Baggies had three points from two games, and the stalemate at Liverpool keeps them second in the group.

James Shan's side took the lead in the 25th minute when Andre Wright's looping header evaded Kamil Grabara in the Reds goal.

But the visitors were pegged back in the second period when Cameron Brannagan was slipped through and dinked the ball over Albion stopper Jack Rose.

Albion have three games remaining in the group stages, all of which are at The Hawthorns.
