Foster targets cup success

Keeper has one eye on silverware

BEN Foster outlined his ambition for Albion after extending his commitment to the Club until the summer of 2019.

“I would love to help us win a Cup,” said the keeper after putting pen to paper on the new two-and-a-half-year deal.

“I did that with Birmingham City a while back now and the sense of achievement was massive. It would be so good for everyone at Albion to experience the same thing.

“That would be the ultimate really. We’ve still got the Premier League to fight for of course but I think we are looking to push on a little bit more now as far as that goes.”

Fozzy, who has fought back from knee surgery to recapture his very best form so far this season, would love to chalk up one other item on his personal wish-list.

“It would be great to play every minute of every season,” he added having recently passed 150 Premier League appearances for Albion. “I nearly did it in my first year here but had to miss the last game and at Birmingham, I missed half an hour of one game.

“But it would be nice to be able to say that.”

Overall, Fozzy admits that he now considers The Hawthorns “home” and that the decision to extend his stay was simple.

“My kids are Albion fans, my family…this is my home now and it’s not an option for me to even think about going anywhere else.

“I look forward to many many years and more Appearances. It’s been a pleasure from Day One to be here.”
