British Champion confirmed as Fans’ Champion

‘He’s one of our own’

THE new British Middleweight title holder will be our Fans’ Champion for Saturday’s clash with Manchester United.

Albion supporter Tommy Langford is honouring the pledge he made before his fight with Sam Sheedy to parade the belt at The Hawthorns.

The 27-year-old extended his undefeated record to 18 fights in Cardiff last month and now awaits news of his next opponent.

He will present the matchball to the Premier League plinth at approximately 5.15pm.

It has been a year to remember for Langford who claimed the vacant Commonwealth middleweight title in March, before successfully defending his WBO Inter-Continental belt for a fourth time in July. Langford has also climbed to number two in the WBO World rankings.

Langford will also be chatting to Jake Humphrey, Steven Gerrard and Rio Ferdinand during the BT Sport Score programme at 3.55pm tomorrow.
