Special honour for Fans’ Champions

19 August 2016

Your chance to nominate Baggies devotees

ALBION today announce a new fans initiative which will give supporters the chance to add an unforgettable memory to match days at The Hawthorns.

Saturday's opening Premier League home game will also see the Club reveal its first Fans’ Champion - someone who will be given the honour of signalling the countdown to kick-off by stepping on to our hallowed turf and delivering the match ball to the plinth.

The Club itself has chosen the first recipient - and who else could it be than Blind Dave Heeley, the fund raiser extraordinaire who has clocked up thousands of miles and thousands of pounds for charities with his extraordinary deeds of endurance.

But we want to hear from you if you think there is someone you feel deserves the honour.

Perhaps it is a friend or a family member who has shown incredible devotion to the cause? Perhaps it is a supporter who, like Blind Dave, combines passion for the Baggies with a big heart for their community?

Tell us who you believe should be our Fans’ Champion and enjoy the honour of delivering the match ball to the plinth before each home game.

Send your nomination to The Albion Foundation, Ford Street, Smethwick B67 7QY or email info@albionfoundation.co.uk
