Seven senior Baggies players in international action

ALBION were able to wave off a full complement of international stars at the start of the two-week break from club football.

Venezuela fans' favourite Salomon Rondon has one of the most taxing schedules with games against Colombia on Thursday and then Argentina on Wednesday, September 7 in South American World Cup qualifying.

Rondon is due to catch a flight back the next day to link-up with his Baggies team-mates again in time for the return to Premier League action at Bournemouth on Saturday, September 10.

Northern Ireland pair Jonny Evans and Gareth McAuley and Scotland duo Darren Fletcher and James Morrison are also in World Cup qualifying action on Sunday (September 4).

Fletch is expected to captain the Scots against Malta in Group F while G-Mac and Evans are in Prague to tackle the Czech Republic in Group C.

James McClean has a Republic of Ireland friendly against Oman in Dublin on Wednesday before they fly to face Serbia in Belgrade on Monday night.

And Brendan Galloway, on loan from Everton, is playing for England's Under 21s against Norway in Colchester on September 6.
