Under-21s set for crunch clash with Villa

Youngsters host local rivals at The Hawthorns (ko 7pm)

ALBION’s Under-21 boss James Shan has reiterated the importance of winning their three remaining games, starting with neighbours Villa on Monday night.

The Baggies youngsters face their local rivals in a crucial fixture at The Hawthorns with a 7pm kick-off scheduled.

Shan’s side have slipped to seventh in the table and two points outside the play-off positions after failing to record a victory since the middle of December.

Albion need to finish inside the top five to qualify for the play-offs and the Under-21 boss reckons only three wins from three will be enough.

“This league is very tight so I have set the lads the task of winning three from three,” said Shan.

“We feel as though only three wins will be enough now and that has to start on Monday night against Villa.

“I have seen quite a lot of them and they are a very good, hard-working team.

“I know their manager Kevin MacDonald and I have a lot of respect for him.

“I know what sort of team he will bring and I know their mentality will be to work extremely hard both in and out of possession.

“I’m expecting a tough encounter but hopefully we will be able to grab all three points.”

Entry on the gate is free to those who display a 2015/16 West Bromwich Albion season ticket, otherwise prices are £5 adults and £1 concessions.

Come on you Baggies!
