Albion claim draw at League title challengers
TONY Pulis believes Albion showed what they are capable of at White Hart Lane - after claiming a draw at Spurs, handing a crucial initiative to Leicester in the Premier League title race.
The Baggies grabbed a point thanks to Craig Dawson's second-half equaliser, after he got the final touch to Tottenham's first-half goal.
On the result, Pulis said:
I thought the first half we were on the back foot, as we played at Arsenal. We were much better second half.
But Spurs are a fantastic side.
Tottenham have had to play a lot of games on Thursdays and Sundays - so for them to be where they are is a fantastic achievement.
I'm just pleased that we showed what we can do after the break.
We have done well in games at Chelsea, Liverpool, Leicester...Arsenal was the only one we didn't play well in.
We have played a good side, who have real quality and done well.
Pulis was particularly pleased with his side's second-half showing, but also some notable individual displays.
Boaz was excellent, that was pleasing. And I thought Gardner was outstanding too. It was a good battling performances.
Craig (Dawson) did well with his header too. He was unlucky before the break so to score the equaliser was good for us.
Ben Foster and Saido Berahino missed the trip to London with ankle problems. Pulis gave an update on their injuries.
Ben didn't feel his injury during the game but his ankle was swollen the next day.
The same with Saido. He felt a tweak around the back of his left ankle so we didn't take a risk with him.
We hope Saido will be fit for Saturday but we're not sure Ben will make it.
