Two years since Foundation opened Brasshouse Lane premises
MATCH Of The Day cameras will roll into town today to record The Albion Foundation School's anniversary celebrations.
It is two years ago since The Albion Foundation opened the doors to their Brasshouse Lane premises, just half-a-mile away from The Hawthorns.
A crew from the BBC football flagship show will attend to film the school’s festivities, with the celebrations due to be screened on Match Of The Day’s Sunday highlights programme.
Today's activities - involving current and former pupils, along with two members of the first-team squad - will range from an outdoor climbing wall to temporary tattoo; from magic shows to video gaming. Animal Antics will also be visiting, bringing an array of their exotic creatures.
There will also be attempts to break the Guinness World Record for eating a muffin in under 35 seconds!
All participants will receive a goody bag (some of which randomly contain golden tickets to first-team Albion matches) and a piece of Albion cake.
Director of The Albion Foundation Rob Lake said: "We are very proud of our school.
"The staff are fantastic and try to engage with youngsters on a different level.
"They get on the level of the young people to try to make a difference to their lives."
