Dawson urges Albion to maintain home form

Baggies host Crystal Palace today

ALBION defender Craig Dawson has challenged his team-mates to maintain their impressive home form, as they welcome Crystal Palace to The Hawthorns today.

The 24-year-old has played an integral part in Alan Irvine’s side so far this season, forming a solid centre-back partnership with Joleon Lescott.

Dawson was on the scoresheet as Albion brushed aside Burnley at the end of September, before winning the Man of the Match award in last Monday’s 2-2 draw with Manchester United.

And the former England Under-21 international has urged his side to continue their recent eye-catching form in front of the Baggies supporters.

“We have been performing well at home,” said Dawson.

“It was a great performance against Manchester United, and after that result we want to keep the momentum going.

“It is going to be a very difficult game against Crystal Palace, they are very well organized and are hard to break down.

“They have a lot of pace in forward areas, so it’s going to be a tough test.

“However, three points on Saturday would be vital for us as we look to push on to that next level.

“I’m sure that there will be a big effort from all the lads, so hopefully we can perform well and get the win.”
