Tickets for statue unveiling oversubscribed
TONY Brown is a man in demand at the moment – but once a legend always a legend, eh?
Bomber Brown’s presence, alongside another ever-popular hero in Darren Moore, ensured the opening of the club’s new store in West Bromwich town centre today was given an enthusiastic start from the Albion faithful.
The two Albion favourites spent the morning signing autographs and helping with the shop’s first sales as the fans enjoyed the chance to get in some early Christmas gift-buying.
The store will be open for the next three months for the Christmas and New Year sales periods.
Tony was on site with his own big day now less than a week away – the unveiling of the statue Albion have commissioned to celebrate the club’s record appearances holder and goal scorer.
And the demand to see this historic moment means that we can no longer accept enquiries for tickets.
The statue, positioned just outside the East Stand’s main entrance, is being unveiled on Thursday at 2pm where there is space for about 250 fans to watch the ceremony.
All the tickets have now been allocated.
It seems the demand to see the Bomber, whether in the flesh or in bronze, shows no sign of letting up…
