Hat-trick of joy for Foundation

Treble success for Foundation

THE Albion Foundation were celebrating a hat-trick of gongs at the Black Country Sport & Physical Activity Awards 2014.

Following on from last Thursday's excellent disability awards evening, the Foundation picked up another glorious treble in the gala event held in Wolverhampton.

Clive Allen, Sporting Club Albion's basketball head coach, was named as the Community Coach of the Year.

Foundation ambassador Dave Heeley, more commonly known as 'Blind Dave', won the Elvis Gordon Chair's Recognition Award, while powerchair captain Chris Gordon was runner-up in the Disability Sportsperson of the Year category.

Rob Lake, Foundation Director, said: “It was a brilliant evening for the Foundation and great recognition of the outstanding work that goes on.

"I cannot speak highly enough of all the winners they do incredible work.”

The event was hosted by BBC WM Breakfast Show presenter Pete Morgan and former World Cup Referee Howard Webb was on hand as guest speaker for the night.
