Mel disappointed for 'incredible' fans

And boss urges supporters to keep believing

PEPE Mel admitted he was disappointed he could not deliver all three points for Albion’s ‘incredible’ fans in today’s 3-3 draw with survival rivals Cardiff.

The Hawthorns hordes created an electric atmosphere in the build-up to kick-off and the players responded by storming into a 2-0 lead within nine minutes.

The Baggies were also just seconds away from a 3-2 win that would have seen them open up a six-point gap on the bottom three.

But it was not to be and Mel has urged the supporters to keep believing, with around 2,000 expected to travel to Norwich next Saturday (ko 3pm).

“The fans were absolutely incredible,” said the Albion chief.

“Apart from the fact we didn’t gain the points, we’re also sad we didn’t get all the points for them.

“But the most important thing is they keep believing.”
