Keeper discusses today's clash with United (free video)
BEN Foster believes Wayne Rooney's goal in today’s 3-0 defeat by Manchester United was the turning point in what was a frustrating afternoon for the Baggies.
The visitors doubled their lead while skipper Chris Brunt was off the field receiving treatment to a knee injury which ended his game prematurely.
And Foster says United’s brief one-man advantage was enough to put the game beyond Albion.
“It is a very disappointing result at the end of the day,” he said.
“I thought we did fairly well first half but I just don’t think the ball dropped for us.
“The second goal killed it as a contest.
“While Chris Brunt was off injured at 1-0 we were a man down on the pitch, I think that was probably the turning point.”
