New boys Baird, Gardner and Pocognoli all start
SUMMER signings Chris Baird, Sebastien Pocognoli and Craig Gardner all start for Albion’s tour opener against Sacramento Republic at Bonney Field.
Craig Dawson (thigh), who suffered a minor knock in training, misses out along with Gareth McAuley, Joleon Lescott (tight calves), James Morrison (knee) and Chris Brunt (groin).
Ben Foster, who only reported for pre-season last Wednesday following his World Cup duty with England, is also not involved.
