Albion News up for the cup

Enjoy feature interview with Willie Johnston

IT’S January, you're back at work, the Christmas buzz is over, the credit card bill has come through the post and you're carrying a few pounds overweight.

Let's face it, you need cheering up.

Praise the Lord then for Albion News, fresh, vibrant and ready to go for the visit of Crystal Palace, at just £3.

And this is no ordinary Albion News, oh no. For we have given the bulk of it over to the one, the only, Willie Johnston.

We feature a rip roaring interview with the great man, 4,000 words the like of which you don't get from footballers today, and elsewhere we delve into his glorious career here and elsewhere, including Tony Brown's memories of sharing a dressing room with the man who was a faster than lightning.

Elsewhere, Keith Downing reminds us that the FA Cup is one of the greatest competitions in the world, something of which we have photographic evidence from 1935 and our trip to Wembley that year.

We look back to the day when the Russian Army was stopped in West Bromwich by a Tank and reflect on a season spent in Division Two under Don Howe.

There is a tribute to the late John Silk LLB and we bring matters up to date with match reports from West Ham and Newcastle.

So, bring me sunshine with the Albion News. You know it makes sense.
