Mel: Thievy adds unpredictability

Baggies boss gives insight into new signing

PEPE Mel has tipped new signing Thievy Bifouma to bring unpredictability to Albion’s attack.

The France Under-21 international - renowned for his wacky haircuts - joined the Baggies on loan in a beat-the-deadline move eight days ago.

He trained with his new team-mates for the first time this week and is set to start on the bench against Crystal Palace today (ko 3pm).

“Thievy is a different player,” said Mel.

“He’s a funny and happy character, and on the pitch new ideas always come to him.

“For changing matches he is very, very good.

“He’s different, Anichebe is different, Vydra is different, Anelka is different.

“Thievy wants to be a good player and learn every day.

“In Spain he plays well in the first division.

“He’s quick and scores goals – in the box he is very dangerous.”
