Key centre-half boosts Baggies for Arsenal test
ALBION should be boosted by the return of Gareth McAuley for Sunday’s trip to fourth-placed Arsenal (ko 1.30pm).
The influential centre-half has missed the last two games with a calf problem but is scheduled to resume training this week with a view to making the Emirates Stadium-bound squad.
Steven Reid was forced off with a groin problem seconds before half-time on Saturday and is rated at 50-50 for the Arsenal trip.
Liam Ridgewell (knee) and Zoltan Gera (hamstring) are making progress but the Arsenal game is expected to come too soon for them. The duo should, however, be available for Wednesday week’s trip to Sunderland (ko 7.45pm).
