Jonas hails Dorrans impact

Vice-skipper says midfielder's return to form has been important

JONAS Olsson has hailed the impact Graham Dorrans has had since returning to the side in recent weeks.

The Scot has been in the Baggies’ starting XI for the last six matches, having previously only started the two opening Barclays Premier League games of the season.

His goal-of-the-season contender temporarily handed Albion a lifeline against Manchester City on Monday.

It was his second goal in four games, having also got on the scoresheet in the 3-3 draw against Cardiff.

And, along with his scoring touch, it is Dorrans’ impressive all-round displays which have caught the eye.

“He’s in great shape and doing very well in his last few games,” Olsson said.

“It means a lot to have him in good form. We know he can get a few goals, is good on set-pieces, can get assists and has a good work-rate.

“It is good to have him back to his normal self.

“He has had a tough season but he’s done very well in the last few weeks.”
