Stoke U21 5 Albion U21 1

Baggies humbled by Potters

ALBION suffered a 5-1 defeat at Stoke City in this afternoon’s Barclays U21 Premier League clash.

Mani O’Sullivan fired a first-half goal for the Baggies but the Potters earned a comfortable victory at Clayton Wood.

“We conceded some poor goals which hurt us," said professional development coach David Oldfield.

“We showed a response to a poor performance against Manchester United and we showed more energy.

“We showed more willingness and we created some chances.

“We were undone as a group by some poor defending.

“We’ll analyse this game and learn from it.

“We’re a young group and we need to make sure we learn our lessons.

“We need to improve in our next game.”
