Attacking midfielder seals Albion deal and jets off for international duty
STEPHANE Sessegnon last night drew to a close a frantic transfer deadline day for him by becoming Albion’s record transfer – and insisted: “I’m excited to start now.”The attacking midfielder flew over from Paris earlier in the morning and finally put pen to paper on a three-year contract just before the window shut at 11pm.
And he had little time to digest his move to The Hawthorns before racing out of the door to catch a flight en route to link up with Benin for their World Cup qualifier against Rwanda, in Porto Novo, on Sunday.
“It’s been a long day but I am just happy to sign for West Brom,” said Sessegnon.
“West Brom play very good football and have good players so for me it’s a great choice.
“The gaffer said to me he wanted me because he wants to play more football, add more movement and create chances.
