Baggies suffer third successive defeat
TWO first-half goals sentenced Sporting Club Albion Ladies to a 2-0 defeat by Bradford City on Sunday in the Northern Premier League.
It was the Baggies’ third successive defeat.
Manager Dave Lawrence said: “We started the game poorly with no real rhythm or shape.
“It wasn’t until we were 2-0 down when we settled and started passing the ball.
“We created some good opportunities but we couldn’t make their keeper work.
“There were some defensive errors.
“In the last couple of seasons we’ve prided ourselves on not conceding sloppy goals - but lately we are.
“We need to improve in all areas of the pitch if we want a result.
“We need more movement and hopefully this will lead to more goalscoring opportunities.”
The Baggies will look to bounce back this weekend as they welcome Sheffield Ladies to The Grove.
