Updates on Yacob, Brunt and Vydra
CLAUDIO Yacob has been passed fit to face Manchester United on Saturday (ko 3pm) after shaking off a dead leg.
But skipper Chris Brunt will miss his third successive game due to a groin problem.
Steve Clarke remains hopeful Victor Anichebe (ankle) and Nicolas Anelka will be fit for the Old Trafford trip.
The game comes too soon for Matej Vydra, who has been sidelined with a hamstring problem since the Capital One Cup win over Newport at the end of August.
But the Czech Republic international is set to return to full training next week.
Zoltan Gera suffered a minor hamstring strain in training last week, which has delayed his potential first-team return from anterior cruciate ligament damage by ten days.
While Clarke says last night’s cup tie with Arsenal came around ten days too soon for George Thorne (knee) to make his comeback from an identical injury.
