Ladies hope to bounce back

Baggies take on Bradford at The Grange

SPORTING Club Albion Ladies will be looking to return to winning ways when they host Bradford City at The Grange, Halesowen, this Sunday (ko 2pm).

After back-to-back defeats on the road, the Baggies will be hoping to collect three points from the game which could see them move into the top four of the FA Women’s Premier League (Northern Division).

Ladies manager Dave Lawrence believes his side are capable of recording a victory this weekend but wants to see Albion improve on their last couple of performances.

“We will need to defend properly and use the ball better than we have done in previous weeks if we are to get a result,” said Lawrence.

“It’s a game that we have highlighted as winnable and we will be approaching the game with a desire to get a much needed three points.”

The Baggies are undefeated at home this season and Lawrence wants to see more creativity from his outfit.

“We need to find different ways to open teams up at home when the opposition comes to shut up shop,” added Lawrence.

“I’m sure if we do pick up points at our home ground, it’ll give us the confidence to pick up points away from home.”
