Cup woe for SCA Ladies

Sheffield too good for Baggies in Premier League Cup

SPORTING Club Albion Ladies are out of the Premier League Cup after losing 2-0 at Sheffield Ladies on Sunday.

The home side sealed the victory with goals in the 22nd and 47th minute and Baggies boss Dave Lawrence was disappointed with his side’s performance.

“We were quite fortunate that it was only 2-0,” he said.

“We bossed the first ten minutes and had three or four opportunities but didn’t manage to convert them.

“They’ve got talented players and we gave them far too much time and space - and for the majority of the game we were second best.”

Following back-to-back defeats, Lawrence wants to see a drastic improvement in his side’s performance and attitude when they host Bradford City Ladies on Sunday.
