MORGAN Amalfitano is looking forward to beginning a new challenge in England – after joining Albion from French outfit Olympic Marseille on deadline day.
The 28-year-old had been a regular at Stade Vélodrome and arrives at The Hawthorns on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent deal.
And the France international midfielder believes he shares the same football philosophy as his new club.
“I am happy to come to England,” said Amalfitano.
“I am also happy to begin a new challenge.
“West Brom is a very good team that plays good football – which is very important for me.
“I think the team has the same football philosophy as me.
“I like English football.
“I will give my maximum for West Brom in all the matches.
“I want to show my quality for this team.
“My first day was very good.
“I must try to match their intensity.
“I am happy for my first day.”
