Zoopla staff strike gold for Foundation

Employees raise £700 for club’s charity partner

STAFF from Zoopla, The Albion Foundation’s principal sponsor, successfully negotiated the Half-Time House Challenge last week to contribute £700 to the club’s official charity.

Over 100 employees of the online property search website attended a team meeting at The Hawthorns when they were invited to do their bit for charity by Zoopla CEO Alex Chesterman (pictured).

In total, 14 participants scored, with Zoopla donating £50 to the Albion Foundation for every successful attempt.

Last season Zoopla donated £500 to the Foundation for every goal scored by the Baggies first team – which amounted to £26,500 after Steve Clarke’s men struck 53 times in the Barclays Premier League.

Albion Foundation director, Rob Lake, was invited to speak at the event which also highlighted the work done by the charity in the local community.

“This was typical of the relationship we have developed with Zoopla,” said Lake.

“Our staff were organising the challenge but we had no idea that they were going to donate to us.

“They performed really well and raised a significant amount of money which we will put back into making a difference in the local community.

“It was great to be able to show them what we have done with their funding and I had lots of people saying what brilliant work we do which is very satisfying.

“I would like to thank Alex and all his staff for their continued support.”
