Youssouf unfazed by yellow peril

Dynamo won't change his game and is happy to put faith in fellow midfielders

YOUSSOUF Mulumbu insists he will not let his recent run of yellow cards affect the way he plays – and has backed his fellow midfielders to soften the impact of any suspensions this term.

The Baggies ace heads into Saturday’s trip to Stoke (ko 3pm) after racing to three bookings in his first eight games.

He is now just two away from picking up a one-match ban, with the first yellow-card amnesty of the season not until the turn of the year.

“Against Sunderland I think I got a stupid yellow card for a handball or moaning at the referee,” said Mulumbu.

“So, I think I can avoid some of the yellow cards.

"But I’m not the sort of player who is aggressive and has bad intentions when I try and win the ball.

“I like to win the ball properly and I won’t change my game – for sure.

“That’s the game that put me at West Brom.

“And I think me and Claudio [Yacob] are working really well at the moment and we don’t have to put our feet back to avoid yellows.

“We’ve got a big squad and if either of us are suspended for one game, Mozza, Dozza or Brunty can take our place.

“I’m not worried about that.

“I just want to play my game, enjoy and win some points.”
