Latest on Amalfitano and Sinclair's Palace hopes

ALBION have been boosted by the news Morgan Amalfitano’s knee injury is only a ‘niggle’ – and he hasn't been completely ruled out of Saturday’s clash with Crystal Palace at The Hawthorns (ko 3pm).

The 28-year-old winger limped off at Anfield just before half-time.

Joint-assistant head coach Kevin Keen said: “Morgan came off a little bit sore and there’s a possibility he may not be fit for Saturday.

“It’s an ongoing knee problem that we have been aware of and just needs a bit of maintenance.

"It’s just a bit of a niggle that he’s had and played through. We need to make sure he comes through right."

Scott Sinclair is also facing a race against time to be fit to face Palace, having missed the Baggies’ previous three fixtures with a hamstring problem.

“We are hopeful Scott has got a slim chance of being involved at the weekend, or at least being fit,” added Keen.

“I wouldn’t say it’s a definite ‘yes, he’s going to be ready’ - but there is a chance.”
