Winger tops Facebook poll
ZOOPLA’S Player of the Month award for September has been won by transfer deadline day signing Morgan Amalfitano.
The 28-year old netted twice in his first three Barclays Premier League fixtures – as the Baggies recorded back-to-back victories over Sunderland and Manchester United following a hard-earned draw at Fulham.
The Nice-born winger rounded off an impressive home debut by scoring the final goal in Albion’s 3-0 triumph over the Black Cats.
A week later the France international struck an early goal-of-the-season contender when Albion picked up their first win at Old Trafford in 35 years.
Amalfitano ran from inside his own half, nutmegged Rio Ferdinand, and coolly dinked over David De Gea to take the lead inside The Theatre of Dreams.
Thanks to Zoopla, Albion supporter Christopher Powell, 23, from Tipton, presented the wide man with his prize at the club’s training ground yesterday after voting in the club’s official Facebook poll (West Bromwich Albion).
