Emily returns with Psalm 23

Local teenager to sing 'The Lord's My Shepherd' prior to Palace fixture

TALENTED youngster Emily Badger returns to The Hawthorns on Saturday to sing ‘The Lord’s My Shepherd’ prior to Albion's clash with Crystal Palace (ko 3pm).

The 13-year-old, who recently qualified for the Open Mic UK 2013 Midlands region final, will belt out Psalm 23 before the players emerge from the tunnel.

Emily was an instant hit at The Hawthorns when she performed at the Baggies’ fixtures with Sunderland, Chelsea and Newcastle two seasons ago.

Open Mic UK 2013 is the UK’s biggest music competition for unsigned singers and solo artists.

The Tividale teenager will be vying for a place at the grand final - hosted at the O2 Arena in January - when she returns to the LG for an area final on Sunday, November 24.

The overall winner of the competition will receive £5,000 to spend on the development of their act.
