Clarke hails Sess the entertainer

Boss urges forward to reproduce impressive form against Palace

STEVE Clarke is delighted with the impact Stephane Sessegnon has made since arriving at The Hawthorns - and has backed him to keep getting 'bums off seats'!

The 29-year-old forward has caught the eye since arriving for a club-record fee from Sunderland on transfer deadline day.

And Clarke is hoping the Benin international can reproduce that form against Crystal Palace today (ko 3pm) in front of a sell-out crowd.

“Stephane's an entertainer and the type of player that the paying public want to see," said the head coach.

“They want to see him on the ball. He’s bright and lively and can make things happen.

"He gets bums off seats.

“Stephane excites people and hopefully that’s what he’ll do for the rest of this season - and in seasons to come.

“He’s moved clubs, settled well and he’s happy playing football here.

“He likes the way we play and he’s enjoying himself.

“You can see that in his performances.”
